The office of DEACON is a tradition as old as the Church, itself.   It is an office of ministering to the body in Spiritual and practical ways.  No matter how they serve, Scripture makes it clear that ministering as a deacon is a rewarding and honorable calling in the church.  The Deacons at Zion are “full of the Holy Ghost, full of wisdom, full of faith, have good reputations, have been tested and proven, and live their lives pleasing to God.”

Our Deacons have a firm grasp of ‘sound doctrine.’  They advance ‘unity’ in the Church and their presence advances the cause of evangelism.   All this, and they still have time to assist our Pastor whenever called to ‘serve.’
